Meet Dr. Molly Wright
I’m Dr. Molly Wright, and I am a mom of two young boys. I am a former kindergarten teacher who decided to go to medical school and become a pediatrician so I could focus on my passion, which is newborn care. I enjoy supporting and empowering new parents during what can be a wonderful, but also stressful time. While my love of helping kids and families brought me to pediatrics, it was my own personal 4th trimester challenges that made me decide to become a postpartum doctor.
While a resident in pediatrics, I had my first son and was quickly overwhelmed. I knew I had a limited amount of maternity leave and I was determined to breastfeed. However, my son did not gain weight well, and I found myself in an exhausting cycle of triple feeds, lack of sleep, and worry that made it difficult to navigate our many pediatric and lactation visits around town. Layered on top that was the fact that my body was trying to physically heal from surgery. I was struggling physically, mentally, and emotionally. I recall having one of my fellow doctors stop by my house to help with a breastfeeding concern and I cried when she left because I felt seen, heard, and supported. I began to think about how to provide this type of support for other moms, and shortly after the birth of my second son the idea of Mysa Care became a reality.
While coziness and seeing a doctor aren’t often thought of together, I would be honored to sit down with you in the comfort of your house to listen, support, and empower you as you start this incredible journey of parenting.
